Want to dedicate your free time in a worthwhile and important way? Get involved in the pro-life movement today by becoming an “Ohio Right to Life County Coordinator”
A ‘County Coordinator’ is an Ohio Right to Life member who wants to make a difference in their community by raising awareness on life issues such as: abortion, euthanasia and human trafficking. A ‘County Coordinator’ may not know everything about every life issue, but has a desire to learn and is passionate about the right to life of every human being, from fertilization until natural death.
Ohio Right to Life County Coordinators are influential leaders in their community, well-respected and responsible. Most importantly, they are relational persons who are capable of building relationships with various leaders and office holders in their community in order to bring a greater awareness of the sanctity of human life. What is the purpose of the County Coordinator?
The purpose of the Ohio Right to Life County Coordinator is to engage the communities in which we live in discussion of important life issues. Because we care about the right to life of every human individual, County Coordinators commit themselves to expanding local initiatives, building partnerships and supporting pregnancy centers and right to life chapters within their communities.
Ohio Right to Life also desires input on a variety of programs that are offered and planned throughout the year. Additionally, we want to give you a platform to promote the pro-life efforts that you are a part of within your community and to connect you with others from across the state that can offer advice. We also want to know about the issues in your communities that are a concern to the pro-life movement. By keeping you informed on statewide initiatives, we hope to generate deeper and better discussion in your communities about life issues.
What is the difference between the County Coordinator and the local Right to Life chapter?
The purpose of the County Coordinator and the local Right to Life affiliated chapter differ greatly, making each position unique and important. The County Coordinator serves as Ohio Right to Life’s liaison to the community, while the local affiliate chapter is serving the community directly and has its own events and fundraising needs. The County Coordinator will not host events or have fundraising goals, but relies completely on ORTL’s support for its activities. The County Coordinator exists, most importantly, to support ORTL statewide efforts in their community.
