Video Production Internship
The Video Production Intern at Ohio Right to Life (ORTL) will have the opportunity to use their skill set to help promote and advance the mission of ORTL throughout the state of Ohio. Interns must adhere to ORTL’s mission statement and will also be responsible for learning various background and talking points on life issues.
While at ORTL, the Video Production Intern will contribute creative concepts for promotional and educational videos that advance the mission of ORTL. Working with the Public Relations and Communications Manager, the Video Production Intern will shoot, edit and produce videos that will be distributed to a variety of audiences through digital and social media outlets.
Video Production interns should have experience in shooting video on a digital video camera, editing footage and utilizing multimedia to create a finished product. Experience in web design, social media, using a Mac, Final Cut Pro (or equivalent), and Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent) is required.
All applicants must be college students. Video Production, Digital Media, Film, Communications and Broadcast Journalism majors are especially encouraged to apply. Interns must provide their own transportation and are encouraged, but not required, to provide their own laptops while working in the office.
Some of the responsibilities for the Video Production Intern include:
- Contributing creative ideas and concepts for promotional and educational videos
- Filming interviews, editing videos, updating multimedia on our websites
- Compiling ORTL video onto DVDs
- Helping ORTL maintain a strong social networking presence by utilizing social networking applications like Facebook and Twitter to promote new videos
- Updating content on our multimedia pages
- Drafting and sending our e-blasts with corresponding video messages
- Assisting ORTL with special projects as needed, including donor events and conferences
- Some administrative duties as needed
